CROP Hunger Walks help to support the overall work of Church World Service, particularly grassroots, hunger-fighting development efforts around the world. In addition, each local CROP Hunger Walk can choose to return up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to hunger-fighting programs in its own community.

Church World Service is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization. Donations to Church World Service, including donations to CROP Hunger Walks, are fully deductible to the extent permitted by law. The CWS federal identification number is 13-4080201.
